This was an awful mise en scene example as the lightening was absolutely terrible, it was very dark therefore you couldn't see anything at all, and so was very unclear. The acting wasn't very good, they looked like they had no idea what they were doing as a little task of crossing a road failed, as the girl had to shove him across the road. Facial expressions was poor, also unclear due to lack of lightening. The clip was quite confusing at the end, they didn't deliver the concept well. It was kind of all over the place. There was no structure and planning behind this. Not enough thought of the area and setting.
Hunter- 4
This was a very good mise en scene example as it had everything required for a level 4. There was suspense, tension and drama. It was set in the right scene, and it had appropriate use of characters to make it look realistic. They had two adults playing the main lead which made it look realistic as a role of an inspector needed to played by someone mature and older. The use of costume added sophistication to the inspectors character, and it was appropriate for its character. The acting from both of he characters was very good. It was set in a school again a appropriate setting, as its a investigation of a school child being missing therefore it was set in just the right place. The use of the receptionist was a smart idea, as it all adds up to the story, it fits in. It is a school, and they are not making it into something its not, so by adding these parts adds realism to the concept. The use of props was very good, as the inspector had a note pad taking the in notes as a normal inspector would. Then the use of the weapon which was the bat was very good. Again it fits in, as its a school and there is PE sessions so there obviously would be equipment such as the bat. There was a good tension build when the teacher came from behind to hit the inspector, and the sound effect that matched it was just perfect. The twist at the end which was that the teacher had the girl hidden created a good ending to the story, which left the audience guessing what could have happened next, or what his motive was.
After Eight- 2
This wasn't a good mise en scene task as it didn't make sense to me. It was quite confusing, and didn't leave a good impression on the audience. It dragged a bit to the end and so became quite boring. It didn't intrigue me as much, and there was a lack of suspense created. The acting wasn't too bad. The characters played there role well, they knew what they were doing and ti was conducted well. The setting was also appropriate to the concept and scene. It was realistic. Lighting was very good, it was clear so the audience could see everything. However the overall concept wasn't presented successfully. It wasn't very clear, and it hard to understand therefore was very confusing. It didn't create tension and there wasn't any wow moment in the script therefore was quite dry. They could have used more better props and work on the planning more effectively next time. Overall wasn't interesting and captivating.
Watch your back- 1
This was a terrible mise en scene as it didn't make sense at all. It was all over the place, and the concept was very unclear. The lightening at certain point was very bad which means it was unclear therefore it will be confusing the audience. The beginning start music was very threatening and intriguing but then the story just trailed off. Not making sense at all.
