Preliminary task

Our preliminary task was a very quick 48 second videos with all the necessary shots needed.
Firstly it was about a meeting between a student and a teacher. The teacher is not impressed with the behaviour of the student so far and so calls an meeting. The student comes in late and they have an disagreement and she storms out.

We started with a match on action, showing Manjit (the student) opening the door in one shot, then in another shot seeing her come in. This was a very effective shot as it makes the shot look continuous and seamless. But really its done in 2 shots.

We then shot the eye line match. Where Ryan (the teacher) is looking at something off screen and then the we cut it to show the object he was looking at, which was the clock. To indicate she was late. This shot was quite effective as he could've been looking at anything. However the camera moves to show what that is. 

We then included an over the shoulder shot, where Ryan and Manjit are having a conversation and Ryan's facial expressions show he wasn't impressed as she was once again late.

We then went to shot reverse shot, to show the conversion between Ryan and Manjit. In this shot it showed the argument between them, the facial expressions for both characters were captured in this. Showing both of their frustration.

We ended it with a point of view shot from Manjit's perspective showing her storming off, the camera was a bit shaky to make it look unsteady as she's storming out.

Things we need to improve on was making the 180 degree more clear in the task, making sure the camera is steady at all times. Add more shot types rather make it basic.
